Supersense is an innovative scanner app designed specifically for blind and visually impaired individuals. With its advanced AI technology, Supersense provides a simple and efficient way to read various types of text formats, currencies, and product details from barcodes.

Unlike other scanner apps, Supersense goes above and beyond by automatically recognizing the desired scan, providing guidance on camera positioning, and reading the content in the correct format. This unique design significantly reduces the time and frustration typically associated with scanning and reading text for visually impaired users.

The app offers a range of powerful features:

 <li>Smart Scanner: Automatically detects if you need to scan text, a document, currency, or a barcode.</li>
 <li>Smart Guidance: Guides you on camera positioning for the most accurate results.</li>
 <li>Quick Read: Instantly reads text from the rear camera.</li>
 <li>Document Reading: Allows you to read longer documents with the assistance of smart guidance. You can use VoiceOver commands to navigate through the recognized text and share it with other apps.</li>
 <li>Multipage Scanning: Enables simultaneous scanning of documents with multiple pages.</li>
 <li>Currency Recognition: Identifies currencies and announces their respective values.</li>
 <li>Barcode Scanning: Scans barcodes to provide product names, brands, and additional information.</li>
 <li>Object Explorer and Find: Scans your physical environment and provides audio descriptions of nearby objects.</li>
 <li>Import Functionality: Allows you to read and explore text from images and PDF files. Additionally, you can share them directly from other apps using the "Recognize with Supersense" tool in your share menu.</li>
 <li>Read History: Displays your recognition history in a single screen.</li>

Most of these features can be enjoyed without an internet connection, ensuring that blind and visually impaired users can utilize the app in any situation. Moreover, Supersense fully supports VoiceOver accessibility and is available in multiple languages. A detailed tutorial can be found in the Menu, and personal training can be requested if needed.

Supersense is developed by Mediate, an AI start-up based in Boston that originated from MIT. Mediate is dedicated to developing cutting-edge computer vision systems through support from the National Science Foundation and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. The app reflects a human-centered design approach and incorporates feedback from blind and visually impaired users. Mediate has also collaborated with various organizations that provide assistance to the blind and low vision community.

If you choose to purchase a subscription, payment will be charged to your iTunes Account upon confirmation. All subscription plans automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renewal can be disabled in your iTunes Account Settings post-purchase. The account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription. You can also continue using designated Supersense features for free without purchasing a subscription plan.
